  1. Thanks for the entry on this topic, Michael. There are frequently large-ish meteors that reach ground, but it’s amazing to me that the much less frequent damaging near-ground shockwave has occurred in Russia twice now in about a century. I haven’t read much about the recent event, but hope that the injuries are not too serious.
